I the mother to three wonderful children and five years ago I left my job as a full time English teacher to spend more time with them. Now I work part time for the state of Tennessee's Early Intervention program and I am working on my Master's degree in Literacy. I write for fun in my limited spare time. In the past I have written for eHow, Examiner, Demand Studios, and How to Do Things. My oldest child has a rare syndrome called Shwachman-Diamond, and I am a contributing writer to the Shwachman-Diamond America newsletter. My middle child has Down Syndrome, and I am committed to spreading the truth about living with Down Syndrome through my personal blog . Though my sons' conditions can be challenging, I am truly blessed.
